The St. Peter's Syrian Orthodox Church of Houston, Texas purchased a plot of land to construct a new Church building for conducting the Holy Services.

Ground-breaking is scheduled to be held at the new location on January 1st, 2008 at 11:30am by His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho, Archbishop of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America with the presence of Rev. Fr. Shinoj Joseph (Vicar), Very Rev. Dr. Thomas Itty Corepiscopa, Rev. Fr. Baiju Chandy, Rev. Fr.
Joseph Karamala, Rev. Fr. Varghese Thekkekara, Rev. Dn. T.S. Varghese and many other distinguished guests soon after the Holy Qurbono at the present Church building located at:

The General Body meeting held on Sunday, February 11th, 2007 elected the new Board of Trustees for the year 2007. The new board members are as follows:

Reji Skaria - Vice President
Roy Varghese - Secretary
Jelo Joseph - Trustee
Ittan Biju Karthanikkattu - Joint Secretary
Jijimon Athanickal - Joint Trustee
Sanu Abraham - Sunday School Headmaster

A Donations link has been added to the church web site to allow individuals to make secure donations to St. Peter's Syriac Orthodox Church of Houston in support of the church.

The donations can be placed by either a person's PayPal account or if they do not have a Paypal account, with their credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard & Visa). They also have the option to make their donation anonymously. Regardless, all transactions are sent securely to PayPal, the church's online payment processor. His Beatitude, the Catholicose Baselius Thomas I, will visit our parish and conduct Holy Qurbana on Holy Saturday, April 15th, 2006. His Beatitude will be arriving in Houston on Good Friday evening from Dallas, as per the information passed over to us by Rev. Fr. Alias Aramath on behalf of the Catholicose.
